Salinas, CA – According to nationwide data from the American Red Cross, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds, and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.  To help supply the need, the Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE) is partnering with the American Red Cross to host the 14th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the MCOE offices at 901 Blanco Circle in Salinas.

The Blood Drive will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred.  To schedule an appointment, go to redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code MCOE or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
