  • Update on the latest EdTech developments
  • Time to network and discuss challenges and successes with colleagues in large and small groups

Future Meetings

Past Meetings

  • Wednesday, November 18th
    • Our third meeting of the EdTech Council focused on the hour of code and getting students interested in learning more about programming. We had a presentation from Meg Omainsky on a digital citizenship lesson she had developed and had a rich discussion on the challenges of fitting digital citizenship into our busy days.
  • October 7th, 2015
    • Second meeting of the EdTech Council! Had a great group of educators come out and share ideas. We focused on Connected Educator month and shared ideas using two model activities, a TeachMeet and a Twitter Chat. See the notes from our meeting and look for our #mcoechat on Twitter.
  • May 20th, 2015
    • The inaugural meeting of the EdTech Council boasted 27 attendees from 10 different school districts in the county. We got a chance to talk about EdTech news, get to know one another, problem solve some challenges we were all facing, crowd-source apps and web tools, and vote on the future of the group. After reviewing all of the feedback, Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm on a quarterly basis will be the schedule for 2015-16.
