Local PD

  • Technology Tools for Language Learners, Thursday, Feb 4th, 9am-3pm ($100 per person)
    There are many different technology tools that can be leveraged to support language learning. Whether you are a world language teacher or a teacher of English language learners, in this session you will learn what tools are out there that support language learning and how they can be used to their maximum potential.

  • Using Technology to Enhance Assessment, Tuesday March 15th, 9am-3pm ($100 per person)
    Formative and summative assessments are both areas where technology can instantly have a positive impact on an educator’s ability to efficiently gather information about student learning. In this training you will learn what free tools can be used by teachers to easily assess students, the pros and cons of using the different tools, and how to properly integrate them into your daily lessons.

  • Technology Integration Strategies for Novice Tech Teachers, Tuesday, April 26th, 8:30am-3:30pm ($100 per person)
    Are you just beginning to use technology in the classroom and need help finding a way to work it into your curriculum? Come to this class where you will learn, how to effectively manage technology use in the classroom and how to find and strategically integrate technology tools into daily instruction.

  • Blending Technology and Project Based Learning, Monday May 2nd, 8:30am-3:30pm ($75 per person)
    Technology and project based learning (PBL) are perfect fits for creating engaging instruction for 21st Century Learners. During this day-long mini-conference, you will get to hear about how project based learning can transform student independent learning from the York School’s Kevin Brookhouser, learn more about technology and project based learning from your choice of 6 different breakout sessions, and have time to collaborate and plan projects with other educators in Monterey County
